Air Canada Orders 15 Airbus A220 Aircraft


Air Canada has ordered 15 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, the carrier announced Wednesday, which will bring the airline’s fleet of the aircraft to 60 upon delivery in 2026. Air Canada currently operates a fleet of 31 A220 aircraft, with 14 more scheduled for delivery through 2025. Air Canada president and CEO Michael Rousseau in a statement called the order “an important development in the modernization of our fleet and a clear indication that we are emerging from the pandemic solidly positioned for the future.”
