Amtrak on Sept. 26 will restart crossborder service between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., the rail service announced Wednesday. The service has been suspended since 2020, according to Amtrak. 

Amtrak said it initially will launch one daily round-trip service, with a second daily service added “in the future as Amtrak staffing and equipment allow.”

In addition to standard international travel requirements, non-citizen arrivals in the United States or Canada must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and all passengers must wear a mask onboard trains in Canada and in Canadian rail stations.
