Samson Open Up About Being Out from team -‘It was tough watching your friends play for India…’:

Sanju Samson who is keeping wickets for the Indian team in the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe scored an unbeaten 43 and took three catches in the second ODI also won man of the match to seal a victory also speaks in a recent interview with Rohan Gavaskar ahead of third ODI against Zimbabwe “it has been tough watching his friends play for India while he remains in and out of the team”.

The 27-year-old right-handed batter and wicket kipper who had captained Kerala in domestic matches and captained Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and also vice-captain of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup squad has been in and out of the team. Sanju was first selected to play ODI and T20 series against England in August 2014 but didn’t make it into the final 11 in any of the matches, in October 2014 he was called for the T20 series against West Indies but the series got canceled.

Later in October 2019 he was recalled for the T20 series against Bangladesh but was benched in the entire series.

Sanju Samson had improved a lot on his batting in the last 2-3 years and his IPL numbers support the same, but the inconsistency over his selection has continued and the India star, for the first time, has opened up on this topic.

Sanju is not a part of the Asia Cup squad starting this month’s end revealed that “To be very honest, I believe everything you go through impacts you in a positive manner. It was tough watching all your friends play for the country, but I enjoyed playing those domestic games in that period.”

Sanju Samson had a very successful IPL 2022 taking his team to the Finals also his batting performance had improved a lot in the last 2-3 years and his IPL numbers support the same. In the recent T20 series against West and the current ODI series against Zimbabwe Sanju is picked up in the team ahead of Ishan Kishan and K.L Rahul. Sanju is not a part of the Asia Cup squad starting from 27 August in UAE. The inconsistency over his inclusion in team India has continued and for the first time, has opened up on this topic.

Revealed that “To be very honest, I believe everything you go through impacts you in a positive manner. It was tough looking at your colleges to play for the nation, but I enjoyed playing those domestic games in that period.”
