The former legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has come forward in support of Virat Kohli after his yet again failing attempt to make up for himself against the England tour. If you look at this batting inning in all the three formats of game played in England, you’ll find a series of runs like 11, 20, 1, 11, and so on, seems pathetic right!! But understanding the difficulty of being a cricketer himself, veteran batsman Sunil Gavaskar has
agreed to lend hands in helping the player and has requested that if he (Gavaskar) could get 20 minutes time with Virat Kohli and where he would tell him the things he might do to rectify the source issue.
This is all he said while speaking to the India Today news channel team saying,
“If I had about 20 minutes with him, I would be able to tell him the things he might have to do. It might help him, I am not saying it will help him but it could, particularly with regards to that off-stump line,”

He further added,
“Having been an opening batter, having been troubled by that line, there are certain things that you try and do. If I get 20 minutes with him, I might be able to tell him”
“It goes back to the fact that his first mistake turns out to be his last. Again, just because he is not amongst the runs, there is this anxiety to play at every delivery because that is what batters feel, they have got to score. You look to play at deliveries that you otherwise won’t. But he has gotten out to good deliveries as well on this particular tour.”
Although it seems like a nice gesture from the veteran, there are many aspects added to it such as what if the player even after the suggestion couldn’t get the expected help or vice versa. However, in the upcoming West Indies series, Virat Kohli has been given rest and will not be part of the tour.
