MANILA, Philippines — Bryan Sajonia conspired with L-Jay Gonzales and Xyrus Torres to finally end Far Eastern University’s woes as they torched University of Santo Tomas, 75-60, to snap a five-game skid in the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Sajonia poured 23 points, shooting a perfect 9-of-9 from two points, to lift the Tamaraws to their first win of the season, where the school had its worst start in the Final Four era.

Gonzales delivered 17 points, five rebounds, four assists, and one steal, as Torres also scored 17 on top of three boards and one dime.

Buoyed by their fans at the venue, FEU shot 9-of-30 from deep in a game where it led as many as 17 to tie UST with 1-5 records.

Nic Cabanero carried the cudgels of the Tigers with 20 points, five rebounds five assists, and two steals only for his squad to suffer their fifth straight loss.
